Kuba & Pilař architekti — 2025
We took part in two stages of architectural competition. Architects succesfully advanced to the next round where they managed to win 4th place.
The project redefines the urban block as a unified glass volume that reacts dynamically to its environment. Through strategic "mass removal" and diagonal slicing, the architecture mitigates the impact of the adjacent highway while drawing natural light deep into the building’s core. The design creates a rhythmic, irregular facade that shifts with the viewer's perspective. By integrating open parterres and public staircases, the block transforms from a monolithic unit into a porous urban hub, connecting Křižíkova and Na Florenci streets through a series of sun-lit atriums and a new public piazza.
